Women's Health Navigation & Medical Advocacy
Dr Liz Murray - Women's Health Navigator
Independent Health Advocates or 'Health Navigators' are growing in demand. With healthcare systems becoming increasingly fragmented, lengthy delay in women's health, and growing confusion with AI and online misinformation - patients are seeking support from reliable professionals.
A Health Navigator is not a personal doctor or GP, a Health Navigator is someone who can translate your journey, help you communicate and advocate for yourself, and make sense of the system, the results and your options. They do not replace your existing medical care - they help make your existing care smoother, make sense and work for you. Restoring your confidence, control and ensuring you are well informed to make the choices that work for you.
Dr Liz Murray is a registered, non licensed doctor. With over 10 years NHS experience as a doctor, 5 years of medical training and 20 years as a patient herself, she has unique insight into the system as both patient and doctor. Dr Liz no longer works clinically due to her own health challenges, and has extensive experience in helping bridge the gap between patients and healthcare.

Our past history can make us emotional when in the patient chair, or rushed appointments make it difficult to communicate clearly. Women's health is in crisis and many women are feeling unheard. Dr Liz published a white paper outlining the Diagnosis Spiral and Thrive Arc - new health concepts Liz created after research into the impact of delays in diagnosis and women's health. Liz recognised and shared in the paper how dismissal by doctors can cause a wellbeing decline - taking a physical problem into a mental wellbeing, social and economical problem. The longer patients are left without validation, symptom support and adequate care, the further down the Diagnosis Spiral they can fall. Intercepting that decline with support can drastically change the patient trajectory, and shift patients into the Thrive Arc. In her approach to working with clients, Liz recognises that the support needs to be holistic and factor in all areas affected: mood, work, relationships, confidence. Before and after working with Liz, you will complete a questionnaire to assess where on the scale you are prior to starting, and then will be able to see the benefit and shift as you receive the support you need.
Clients of Dr Liz will have access to her online webinars and the packages available can include regular email contact. After the appointment Liz will send a summary of your conversation including any tips/tools discussed to help you moving forwards.
