Liz was forced to leave her clinical role as a doctor. Since then Liz has used her unique insight as both patient and doctor to become an activist for health equity; founding a charity to provide support, and producing health education that is regulated, reliable and shared with the utmost empathy – because she truly gets it.

Dr Liz is passionate about working towards equity in healthcare. After experiencing rare health conditions and the subsequent lack of support, Liz became aware of the barriers and lack of equity in support for patients. This led to her founding the charity Mortal And Strong and working to provide equal support for anyone with any health condition.

Dr Liz's personal attitude toward not letting her health conditions stop her from living (not just surviving) has led her to sharing this message with brands, projects and engagements. Including Cool Crutches, Scamp & Dude and Daler-Rowney.

Dr Liz is a huge advocate for supporting the movement to regulate online health information. As an ambassador for the Patient Information Forum, Liz works to promote awareness for the need for safe, reliable information of health content online.
Dr Liz is excited to announce the release date of her first book - a long overdue book providing reliable, medical advice and information on all areas of menstrual, but written by a doctor who has direct experience as a patient herself. The book anyone needs to navigate all areas of problematic periods – from menarche to menopause and everything in between.
Dr Liz started the petition to ask Parliament to make it mandatory that period product packaging includes health information. After experiencing the damage of a late diagnosis of endometriosis herself, Liz wants to see menstrual health acknowledged. Periods are not just a marker of fertility, they are a marker of health. Find out more and join the movement.

Dr Liz is an ambassador for the Patient Information Forum. The UK's only regulatory body for online health information. Liz is passionate about ensuring the online community provides access to support, but also safe and regulated information. Challenging the widespread epidemic of misinformation, Liz works with PIF to help strive for a safer space for people.
Dr Liz founded the charity Mortal And Strong after realising there was an inequality in support for people facing rarer health conditions. Liz believes that everyone has the right to equal support whatever the health condition; striving for health equity is at the core of the charity's mission and something Liz regularly speaks publicly about.
Inspired by her own recovery of facing her mortality, and utilising her experience as an award winning artist - Liz founded the national health campaign Scars of Gold which attracted international following. Co-directing the campaign which captured the voices of 100 women facing their mortality - the campaign exhibited in London 2025.
